GAME DAY: Hurricanes Host Ice on Heroes Night

Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes get back on the horse as they welcome the Kootenay Ice at the ENMAX Centre tonight at 7:00pm.

The ‘Canes snapped a three-game losing streak last night in front of close to 4,000 fans as they beat Jamal Watson and the Seattle Thunderbirds by a 5-2 score. Ryley Lindgren scored a goal and one assist and was one of five players with multi-point efforts.

Tonight will be the final of a brief two-game home stand before the ‘Canes hit the road for their first three-in-three road trip next week as they head East. The ‘Canes have an impressive 6-1-0-0 record on home ice this season.

Kootenay is coming off a 4-3 overtime win last night in Cranbrook over the Medicine Hat Tigers for just their fourth win over the season. Despite the 4-12-2-0 start to the year, the Ice have posted a record of 3-5-2-0 in their last ten games.

It’s the second of seven meetings of the season between the ‘Canes and Ice, Lethbridge won 5-1 back on October 3rd in Cranbrook. Tickets are still available by calling (403) 329-SEAT!

“Canes Crush Cancer” month continues with the Hurricanes raising awareness of Lung Cancer; special “Canes Crush Cancer” t-shirts will be on sale for $25.00 – all proceeds going to the Canadian Cancer Society. It will also be “Heroes Night” as the ‘Canes will be honouring the military and first responders.
