Final Week Huge for Hurricanes both on and off the Ice
Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes, two points back with three games remaining on their WHL Regular Season schedule have only one thing in mind this week – Playoffs. The Canes will look to return to the WHL Playoffs for the first time since 2009, when Zach Boychuk and Luca Sbisa led the Canes past the Saskatoon Blades in seven games to notch Lethbridge’s first game seven series win since the 90-91 team. In their way, the Prince Albert Raiders who currently sit two points ahead of the Canes – also with only three games remaining on their schedule. Lethbridge will take on the Edmonton Oil Kings Tuesday night from Rexall Place in Edmonton before wrapping up their season with a home and home with Kootenay this weekend. Friday’s match up will mark the Hurricanes final home game of the 10-11 Regular Season and will be Fan Appreciation Night at the ENMAX Centre sponsored by Pepsi and Global TV – Headlined by the Hurricanes Awards Ceremony preceding the game. T-Shirts will be passed out to the first 500 fans through the doors and keep an eye out for special fan appreciation promos!
