Canes Shutout 3-0 in Moose Jaw
Moose Jaw, SK – The Lethbridge Hurricane fell behind early and were unable to solve Moose Jaw Goaltender Brandon Stone. Lethbridge was without the services of forwards Graham Hood and Jacob Berglund who both sufered shoulder injuries on Saturday night in Brandon. Veteran forward Austin Fyten is expected to make his return next week and help add to a depleted Lethbridge forward group. The Canes were outshot 34-32 on the night as goaltender Brandon Anderson posted a respectable 31 save performance despite the loss. The Hurricanes penalty kill held the Warriors to 1 for 5 on the night to maintain a 83.8 kill percentage – fourth best in the WHL, but the power play once again struggled – going 0 for 4.
The Hurricanes will next be in action on Friday for game one of the Hurricanes 2nd Pink in the Rink event against the Prince Albert Raiders. Come out, wear pink and support the November 19th, 20th games as the Hurricanes don special Pink Jerseys that will be auctioned off, with proceeds going to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure.
