GAME DAY: Hurricanes Play Final Home Game of 2019 Against Broncos
Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes play their final home game of 2019 on Saturday as they welcome the Swift Current Broncos to the ENMAX Centre at 7:00pm.
The Hurricanes (21-10-0-5) enter having earned a 5-4 overtime win on Friday over the Calgary Hitmen at home. Dino Kambeitz scored twice, including the game-winning goal, while Koletrane Wilson, Alex Cotton and Justin Hall scored the others in the victory. The ‘Canes enter tonight on a three-game home winning streak and are 10-5-0-4 at the ENMAX Centre.
The Broncos (7-22-1-2) are coming off a 4-3 shootout win over the Medicine Hat Tigers at home last night. Aiden Bulych scored twice and added an assist while Tyler Smithies had a goal and two helpers while Sergei Alkhimov scored the shootout winning goal. The win for Swift Current ended a nine-game losing streak dating back to November.
Tonight will be the fourth of seven meetings on the season between the Hurricanes and Broncos and the first of a home-and-home set. VS. BRONCOS: Tonight will be the fourth of seven meetings on the season between the Hurricanes and the Broncos. Lethbridge is 6-0-1-0 in the last seven meetings against Swift Current dating back to last season. Tonight will be the first of a home-and-home set between the two teams.
