GAME DAY: Hurricanes Open Regular Season Against Calgary
Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes open the 2021-2022 regular season tonight at 7:00pm as they welcome the Calgary Hitmen at the ENMAX Centre in the Dairy Queen Home Opener.
The Hurricanes finished the 2021 ENMAX Pre-Season with a record of 2-2-0-0 in four games. Lethbridge was led by Alex Thacker and Nolan Bentham who finished tied for first collecting five points in the exhibition season. The ‘Canes were 2-0-0-0 in pre-season games on home ice. Last year, Lethbridge went 2-3-1-0 in six head-to-head contests.
The Hitmen meanwhile also posted a 2-2-0-0 record in four pre-season games. Five players tied for the team lead in scoring with two points in the exhibition season. Calgary, who was 1-1-0-0 on the road during the pre-season, finished the exhibition schedule by winning their last two games.

VS. HITMEN: Tonight will be the first of eight meetings this season between the Hurricanes and Hitmen. Lethbridge posted a 2-3-1-0 record in six meetings during the 2020-2021 campaign. The ‘Canes posted a record of 1-2-0-0 in three games at the ENMAX Centre last year. Lethbridge has posted an all-time record of 71-86-8-5 with six ties; while going 40-39-3-3 with four ties at the ENMAX Centre.
