GAME DAY: Hurricanes Kick Off Trip in Seattle

Kent, WA – The Lethbridge Hurricanes kick off a three game in three night road trip tonight as they visit the Seattle Thunderbirds at 8:35pm Mountain Time.

The Hurricanes (7-10-1-2) have lost four straight games heading into action after dropping a 4-1 decision to the Kootenay Ice on Wednesday night at the ENMAX Centre. The Hurricanes outshot the Ice 41-33 in the game. Tanner Nagel scored his second goal of the season for the ‘Canes in the losing cause. The Hurricanes haven’t been great on the road so far this year as they’ve posted a 2-5-0-2 record away from home.

The Thunderbirds (9-8-0-1) are the reigning Western Conference Champions. The T-birds are coming off a 5-2 win in Spokane on Tuesday night over the Chiefs. Seattle enters play tonight with a home ice record of 2-4-0-1 on the season after going an impressive 29-5-2-0 record last year at ShoWare Center.

Tonight will be the only meeting of the season between the Hurricanes and the T-birds. It’s the first visit for the ‘Canes to Kent, Washington since February of 2015.
