GAME DAY: Hurricanes End Trip in Kelowna
Kamloops, BC – The Lethbridge Hurricanes prepare to end their four-game road trip tonight at 8:00pm MT as they face the 2020 Memorial Cup hosts, the Kelowna Rockets.
The Hurricanes (37-18-2-5) enter on a two-game losing streak after suffering a 6-3 loss last night in Kamloops against the Blazers. Trevor Thurston, Oliver Okuliar and Alex Cotton scored in the loss while Carl Tetachuk made 33 saves. The ‘Canes enter tonight having posted a 3-6-0-0 record in their last nine games and are 20-10-0-1 on the road this season.
The Rockets (28-27-3-3) enter after earning a 6-0 win over the Seattle Thunderbirds last night at Prospera Place. Pavel Novak scored twice while four others lit the lamp once; Roman Basran made 19-saves for his second shutout of the season. Kelowna enters with a 5-2-2-1 record in their last 10 games.
Tonight will be the only meeting of the season between the Hurricanes and the Rockets; Lethbridge earned a 5-1 win over Kelowna last year in their lone meeting at the ENMAX Centre. VS. ROCKETS: Tonight will be the only meeting on the season between the Hurricanes and the Rockets. Lethbridge has posted a 2-1-0-2 record in the last five head-to-head meetings over the last three seasons. The ‘Canes have lost eight straight games in Kelowna dating back to January 30th, 2012 going 0-7-1-0.
