GAME DAY: Hurricanes End Homestand Against Broncos
Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes will end a three-game homestand tonight at 7:00pm as they welcome the Swift Current Broncos to the ENMAX Centre.
The Hurricanes (14-11-2-0) enter after suffering a 3-1 loss last Friday at home against the Saskatoon Blades in the Canadian Tire Toque and Teddy Toss. Miguel Marques scored the teddy bear goal while Harrison Meneghin made 30-saves in the setback. The defeat ended a two-game home winning streak for the Hurricanes. Lethbridge enters 7-4-2-0 at the ENMAX Centre this season.
The Broncos (14-11-1-2) enter on a four-game point streak after earning a 6-5 victory at Scotiabank Saddledome over the Calgary Hitmen on Wednesday. Caleb Wyrostok scored twice while four others added singles; Joey Rocha made 34-saves in the victory. Swift Current enters 5-3-2-0 in their last ten games while having posted a 5-8-0-1 record on the road this season.
Tonight will be the third of eight meetings on the year between the Hurricanes and Broncos; Lethbridge has posted a 2-0-0-0 record so far this season after earning an opening weekend sweep against Swift Current.

Swiss Pick: Leo Braillard was named as one of 28 players to attend Switzerland’s National Junior Team Selection Camp for the upcoming 2024 IIHF World Junior Championship. Braillard has been terrific since joining the Hurricanes via CHL waivers from the QMJHL’s Shawinigan Cataractes. The 2005-born import forward has recorded 18 points (6g-12a) in 16 games while recording a point in all but three of those games. Braillard has 22 points (8g-14a) in 23 CHL games this season split between Shawinigan and Lethbridge.
Back Home: The Hurricanes are in the midst of a three-game homestand after a season-long five-game BC Division road trip that spanned nearly 4,000 kilometres.
