Hurricanes Acquire Draft Pick for Andresen
Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Club announced they have acquired a second-round draft pick in the 2028 Western Hockey League Prospects Draft from the Moose Jaw Warriors in exchange for 2007-born forward Kash Andresen.
Andresen, 18, was originally drafted by the Hurricanes in the second-round (33rd overall) in the 2022 WHL Draft. The Saskatoon, SK, product appeared in 116 career regular season games with the ‘Canes over two seasons amassing 26 points (10g-16a) along with 51 penalty minutes. He added seven points (2g-5a) along with six penalty minutes in 18 career playoff games.
The 6’2, 178-pound forward set a career-high with 17 points (8g-9a) along with 33 penalty minutes during the 2024-2025 regular season. Andresen totaled six points (2g-4a) with six penalty minutes in 14 playoff games helping the Hurricanes to the Eastern Conference Championship Series. He was named the Hurricanes 2024-2025 Scholastic Award winner.
