Making Calgary a Home

At the WHL Trade Deadline the Hitmen dealt co-captain Matt MacKenzie to the Tri-City Americans in exchange for 18-year-old’s Brooks Macek and Spencer Humphries.  The Hitmen also received a conditional third round pick in the 2012 WHl Bantam Draft. 

Since arriving in Calgary, Macek, a Detroit Red Wings draft pick has nine points (3g 6a) in nine games and is +2.  He will take a five game point scoring streak into Cranbrook on Tuesday. 

Humphries meanwhile has played some huge minutes on the blueline and has posted five points (1g 4a) in nine games and is +2.
