TRADE: Calgary Hitmen Acquire Czech Defenceman Jakub Seidl From Silvertips
Calgary, AB – The Calgary Hitmen have acquired Czech defenceman Jakub Seidl from the Everett Silvertips in exchange for Calgary’s second-round pick in the 2026 CHL Import Draft.
Seidl was selected 89th overall by the Everett Silvertips in the 2025 CHL Import Draft. The defenceman from Prostějov, Czechia, spent the 2024-25 season with Bílí Tygři Liberec U20, before entering his rookie season with Silvertips where he currently has eight points (1G, 7A) in 32 games. Siedl represented Czechia at both the 2024 Hlinka Gretzky Cup and the 2025 IIHF U18 World Championship.

The Calgary Hitmen continue the 2025-26 campaign welcoming the Seattle Thunderbirds on Saturday, Jan. 10 in a 6:00 p.m. start at Scotiabank Saddledome. The night is presented by Vallen and will see the Hitmen team up with Dungeon Wrestling to raise support and awareness for prostate cancer.
