Three Hitmen return from NHL camps
Calgary, AB – The Calgary Hitmen Hockey Club announced today the return of Aaron Hyman, Jakob Stukel and Carsen Twarynski for the 2016-17 season.
All three players were attending NHL camps and missed the opening weekend of the regular season which saw the Hitmen complete a home-and-home sweep of the Kootenay ICE.
Hyman was a free agent invite to Calgary Flames camp and enters his second full season with the Hitmen after being selected by Calgary in the third round of the 2013 WHL Bantam Draft.
Stukel, who topped the Hitmen with 36 goals this past season, was attending Canucks camp after he was taken by Vancouver in the sixth round of the 2016 NHL Draft, while Twarynski returns from Flyers camp after Philadelphia selected him in the third round.
Twarynski, who will turn 19 in November, posted a breakout campaign for the Hitmen in 2015-16, jumping from six to 20 goals to finish the campaign with 45 points. He also took home the team’s EllisDon Humanitarian Award for his dedicated work in the community.
Four Hitmen remain at NHL camps: Jake Bean (Carolina), Matteo Gennaro (Winnipeg), Beck Malenstyn (Washington) and Jordy Stallard (Winnipeg).
The Hitmen will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 1 in Lethbridge against the Hurricanes, before returning home to host the Kamloops Blazers on Friday, Oct. 7. Game time is 7:00 p.m. at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

Packages include complimentary tickets to the first two Hitmen home playoff games along with game day savings vouchers for concessions, tickets and merchandise. They also feature a flexible exchange program where any regular season ticket can be exchanged for another game during the same season.
