CHIEFS VISIT CHILLIWACK TUESDAY NIGHT
Tonight in Chilliwack, the Spokane Chiefs will play their final road game before the holiday break and their last as a full squad before players break for their respective tournaments. Mike Boyle will go on the air at 6:30 with Comcast Hockey Tonight on 1510 KGA.
The match-up against the Bruins will be the second meeting of the year after dropping a 2-1 shootout decision on October 1st. The game was James Reid’s first career start in the WHL and he stopped 32 shots. The shootout went eight rounds with Mitch Wahl and Levko Koper scoring for Spokane. Koper had the Chiefs goal in regulation. The Chiefs won the last three games of last season’s four game series to finish the year with a 3-1 record against Chilliwack. Drayson Bowman had five goals and eight points in four games while Mitch Wahl had 1-6-7.
After Tuesday night’s game, the Chiefs will lose goaltender Dustin Tokarski and defenseman Jared Spurgeon to the Canadian Junior selection camp and Stefan Ulmer to Team Austria. Spokane will host Seattle on back-to-back nights this weekend when the Thunderbirds visit the Arena.
