Numerica Hooptown USA Holiday Series raises over $15,000 for local non-profits
Spokane, Wash. – Brett Sports, the Spokane Chiefs and Numerica Credit Union are proud to announce a donation of $15,762 to be split evenly between Big Brothers Big Sisters Inland Northwest and Spokane Hoopfest Foundation. The donation is the result of the Numerica Hooptown USA Holiday Series basketball games, played December 11 and 22 at Spokane Arena, with a portion of every ticket sold being allocated for charity.
The funds — $7,881 to each — will directly help both organizations “create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth” within our community.
“Numerica is honored to support nonprofits like Big Brothers Big Sisters and Spokane Hoopfest Association because of their direct impact on youth in our community,” said Numerica president and CEO, Carla Cicero. “Through their mentorship, support and shared love of basketball, we are working together to enhance lives, fulfill dreams and build communities in Spokane.”
The two neutral site games were hosted by the Spokane Chiefs as part of their agreement with the Spokane Public Facilities District.
“We are extremely pleased with the fan support and excitement these two games brought to the building and city,” said Chiefs President Mark Miles. “The donation raised from ticket sales will go a long way in supporting local charities and that was one of our biggest goals.”
