BLAZERS FALL 6-5 IN A SHOOTOUT
It was a back and forth game with the Blazers trailing 2-0, then leading 5-2, before falling 6-5 in a shootout on Saturday night at home.
After a scoreless first period, the Blazers trailed 2-1 after two periods. The Hitmen scored twice, before Jermaine Loewen made it 2-1 through the second period.
The Blazers took over in the third period as they scored four straight goals to make it 5-2. The Hitmen made an improbable comeback with three goals in the final 4:39 of the game to tie it at 5-5.
After a scoreless overtime, The Hitmen scored twice in the shootout to make it a 6-5 final.
The Blazers will be home on Wednesday, February 7th when they host the Spokane Chiefs.
