Highlights & Post-Game Reaction: Royals 9 – Blades 3

Victoria, B.C. – The Saskatoon Blades second stop on their road trip through British Columbia didn’t end very well, falling 9-3 to the Victoria Royals. The Blades are now 1-1 on the trip and 5-3-1 on the season. This was the first regulation loss for Saskatoon in nearly three weeks, the last pointless game was way back on September 30th.

Chase Wouters scored his first career Western Hockey League goal, while Saskatoon native Kolten Olynek netted his 3rd of the season, and first as a Blade. Braylon Shmyr tallied the other goal for the Blades, his 2nd of the year.

For the Royals, Ryan Peckford had a record setting night for most points in a single game by a Victoria Royal player with 1 goal and 5 helpers.

Saskatoon doesn’t have time to dwell or even get a practice in for that matter, as they hit the road Wednesday morning to take on the Vancouver Giants in Langley.
