Sidorov drafted to Anaheim Ducks in 3rd Round
Nashville, TN – Every club passed on Saskatoon Blades forward Egor Sidorov at last year’s draft. The Anaheim Ducks didn’t make the same mistake twice.
Saskatoon Blades forward Egor Sidorov is taking his talents to California as the newest member of the Ducks family. The Belarusian winger was selected in the 3rd Round (85th overall) at the 2023 NHL Entry Draft.
Sidorov came back to the 2022-23 WHL season with a vengeance, scoring 76 points (40G, 36A) in just 53 games. The 6-foot winger’s 40 tallies led the Blades organization and tied him for eighth in the WHL. Sidorov’s the first Blade to notch 40 tallies since Max Gerlach in the 2018-19 season, nine of which came from three separate hat-tricks throughout the campaign.
Not only a key component to one of the most successful seasons in Blades history, the 19-year-old continued to torch goaltenders in the postseason, leading the Blades with nine goals and finished with 19 points in 16 outings.
