Players All Set For Blades Camp
55 players arrived at Sasktel Centre Wednesday afternoon to register for Saskatoon Blades training camp.
Players lined up for profile photos, height and weight measurements, and for first timers, they met the Blades staff and explored the arena. Afterward, General Manager Colin Priestner and Head Coach Dean Brockman addressed the players and their families on what to expect for the next few days.
“We expect this camp to be highly competitive. We want these guys to push themselves and prove they belong, and we want them to do it early.” said Brockman.
The camp kicks off with a fitness competition Thursday morning in Martensville, before turning back to Sasktel Centre for on-ice practices. Scrimmages will begin Friday morning, with the entire weekend being open to the public.
Fans will also have a chance to purchase used hockey equipment as well as last chance items from the Blades Frozen Pond Team Store. The merchandise and equipment sale will be held on the concourse level inside the main entrance of Sasktel Centre.
Sale Hours:
THURSDAY – 11am – 6pm
FRIDAY – 9:30am – 3pm
SATURDAY – 9:30am – 3pm
SUNDAY – 10:30am – 1pm
Camp rosters will be made available to the public at Sasktel Centre, and admission all weekend is free.
