Blades call up 2 prospects to debut vs Kelowna tonight
Two Saskatoon Blades prospects will be making their WHL debut tonight versus the Kelowna Rockets at SaskTel Centre. 2017 10th overall bantam draft pick Kyle Crnkovic will step in along with 16-year-old Ethan Mack, who was selected in the 8th round in the 2016 WHL bantam draft. Saskatoon’s forward group has been bitten by the injury bug with four regulars out of the lineup tonight.
Crnkovic led all players in points at the WHL Cup in October, and currently sits 2nd in league scoring – 1st among 15-year-olds– in the CSSHL Midget Prep league with 42 points in 22 games.
Ethan Mack currently plays with Edmonton SSAC of the AMHL , and has 22 points (15G,7A) in 20 games. Mack also got into 2 pre-season games with the Blades in September , scoring 1 goal and adding 4PIMs.
The Blades face-off against the Kelowna Rockets tonight at SaskTel Centre, game time is 7:00pm.
