With the first half of the season in the rearview mirror, we’re going to take a look back at all the career milestones reached, achieved, and surpassed by members of the Saskatoon Blades this season.

Alec Zawatsky – 1st WHL goal vs Moose Jaw, Nov. 15th
Jackson Caller – 1st WHL goal vs Medicine Hat, Oct. 13th
Mark Rubinchik – 1st career goal vs Lethbridge, Nov. 1st
Randen Schmidt – 1st WHL point: 2 assists vs Moose Jaw, Nov. 21st
Nolan Maier – 1st WHL win vs Brandon, Nov. 24th (26 saves)
Nolan Maier – 1st WHL shutout vs Portland, Dec. 3rd (48 saves)
Cameron Hebig – 1st career hat-trick vs Swift Current, Oct. 27th
Hebig scored his 2nd career hat-trick less than a month later on Nov. 21st vs Moose Jaw.

Nov. 21st vs Moose Jaw – Braylon Shmyr, 250th career game
Nov. 29th vs Spokane – Evan Fiala, 400th career penalty minute
Nov. 29th vs Spokane – Jackson Caller, 100th career game
Dec. 10th vs Prince Albert – Braylon Shmyr, 100th career assist
Dec. 12th vs Lethbridge – Kirby Dach, 1st career 4 point game (1G, 3A)
Dec. 15th vs Regina – Cam Hebig, 100th career assist
Debutants
G Nolan Maier – 1st career WHL start vs Regina, Oct. 7th. Maier was drafted 25th overall in 2016.
F Logan Doust – WHL debut vs Lethbridge, Nov. 1st. Doust was drafted 198th overall in 2016.
F Alec Zawatsky – WHL debut vs Medicine Hat, Nov. 3rd. Zawatsky was signed by Saskatoon days prior to his debut.
D Randen Schmidt – WHL debut vs Brandon, Nov. 11th. Schmidt was listed by Saskatoon early in the 2017 season.
D Aidan De La Gorgendiere – WHL debut vs Everett, Dec. 2nd. De La Gorgendiere was drafted 5th overall in 2017.
F Kyle Crnkovic – WHL debut vs Kelowna, Dec. 16th. Crnkovic was drafted 10th overall in 2017.
F Ethan Mack – WHL debut vs Kelowna, Dec. 16th. Mack was drafted by Saskatoon 157th overall in 2016.
