Summer Check-In: Nolan Yaremko

The sun is blazing and the hockey offseason is well underway here in Tri-City. We checked in with our returning players to find out what they’re up to this summer and how they’re preparing for the upcoming season. Stay tuned for a Summer Check-In with each Americans player. First up: Nolan Yaremko.
NOLAN YAREMKO
What skills are you focused on improving this offseason?
NY: I am focusing on my skating and quick feet and acceleration this off-season. As well as trying to improve my strength.
Have you spent time with any of your Americans teammates this summer?
NY: Yes I have! Maxwell James and Patrick Dea came up for a baseball tournament near my hometown and we had a blast!
What has been the highlight of your summer so far?
NY: The highlight of my summer so far has been taking a three day houseboat trip with my friends in Sicamous, British Columbia!
Looking back at the Americans 2017-18 season, what was your favorite moment?
NY: It’s extremely hard for me to pinpoint just one moment from last year’s season. We truly had a special group of guys and the whole year was one for the books!
What are you most looking forward to about returning to Tri-City in August?
NY: I’m most looking forward to seeing all the guys and to get things going again at the Toyota Center!
Favorite song of the summer:
NY: My favorite song of the summer has to be Long Live the Night by The Reklaws!
Fun fact: Nolan’s favorite TV show is The Office.
