Americans acquire Pasha Bocharov from Medicine Hat
KENNEWICK, WA – Tri-City Americans general manager Bob Tory announced today that the team has acquired 2004-born defenseman Pasha Bocharov from the Medicine Hat Tigers in exchange for a 2025 fourth-round pick.
Bocharov, from Escondido, Calif., was originally drafted by the Saskatoon Blades 160th overall in the 2019 WHL Prospects Draft. The six-foot, 185-pound defenseman has spent his WHL career with both the Blades and Tigers. Through 147 WHL games played, Bocharov has totaled a career 41 points (14 goals, 27 assists) and 94 penalty minutes.
“Bocharov is a skilled player with good skating ability and very good offensive instincts,” said Tory. “As a veteran of three WHL seasons, he will immediately improve the depth of our blueline.”
Bocharov also has international experience as he played for Team USA at the 2021 Hlinka Gretzky Tournament, where he served as team captain.
He will join the Americans on Friday as Tri-City opens the 2023-24 season in Prince George.
