Mynio ready to represent Canada for the first time internationally
When Sawyer Mynio hits the ice tonight for Canada at the 2025 World Juniors, it’ll be a special moment.
The Seattle Thunderbirds d-man and Vancouver Canucks prospect has never represented his country before at any level. That changes tonight.
“It’s something you grew up dreaming of,” Mynio said. “It’s my first time wearing the jersey so it will be pretty special to do that. It will go by fast … but I am going to remember it for the rest of my life.”
Canada enters tonight’s contest against Germany 1-0-1 while they will conclude the round-robin on New Year’s Eve against the USA.
