CHLGOTW preview: Blades visit Cougars
Two WHL contenders meet in tonight’s CHL Game of the Week as the Saskatoon Blades visit the Prince George Cougars.
The Blades’ 10 wins are tied for the second most in the WHL while they top the Eastern Conference with 22 points. Ben Riche has had an exceptional start to the year as he has 23 points to sit tied 10th in WHL scoring while d-man Tanner Molendyk (NSH) has hit the ground returning since his return to the Blades lineup.
As for Prince George, they are the no. 6 ranked side in the most recent edition of the CHL Top 10 rankings. They sit second in the WHL’s Western Conference and have suffered just four regulation losses in 17 games. The unexpected return of Koehn Ziemmer (LA), alongside a fearsome trio of Riley Heidt (MIN), Terik Parascak (WSH) and Borya Valis, continues to make the Cougars offence dangerous on a nightly basis.
Tonight’s game is available as a ‘freeview’ as part of the CHL’s Game of the Week. Fans catch watch live on CHL TV at 7pm EPT.
