2025-26 CHL Top-10 Rankings presented by Delta Hotels by Marriott: Week 25

The Canadian Hockey League (CHL) today unveiled its Week 25 edition of the CHL Top-10 Rankings presented by Delta Hotels by Marriott for the 2025-26 season.

The Everett Silvertips remain No. 1 after a dominant 3-0 week in which they defeated Penticton twice and Portland to improve to 55-7-2-1. It has already been a historic season in Everett, with the club setting a new franchise record for wins and continuing to close in on one of the top marks in WHL history. Defencemen led the charge this week, as 2025 CHL and WHL Rookie of the Year Landon DuPont recorded eight points (1G-7A), while Tarin Smith added five points (4G-1A) and established new career highs.

Elsewhere in the WHL, the Prince Albert Raiders and Medicine Hat Tigers continue their battle for top spot in the East. Prince Albert picked up key wins behind standout performances from Ben Harvey and Braeden Cootes, while Medicine Hat’s high-powered offence was once again led by Markus Ruck, who surpassed the 100-point mark following an eight-point week.

In the QMJHL, the Moncton Wildcats and Chicoutimi Saguenéens remain neck-and-neck atop the standings. Moncton reached the 100-point mark behind a six-point week from Gabe Smith, while rookie defenceman Tommy Bleyl continued his record-setting season. Chicoutimi, meanwhile, sits just one point back after Mavrick Lachance collected six points and Maxim Massé reached the 50-goal milestone.

In the OHL, the Kitchener Rangers and Brantford Bulldogs continue to lead their respective conferences. Kitchener extended its strong run by going 9-1 over its last 10 games, while Brantford became the first OHL club to reach 100 points, powered by productive weeks from Cooper Dennis and Jake O’Brien. The Barrie Colts and Flint Firebirds also continue to apply pressure in the standings following strong weeks of their own, highlighted by notable individual performances.

Rounding out the Top 10, the Penticton Vees continue to battle down the stretch despite a challenging week, with key contributions from Ryden Evers and rookie standout Jacob Kvasnicka.

CHL Top-10 Rankings – Week 25

1. Everett Silvertips (WHL): The Everett Silvertips (55-7-2-1) remain at the top of the CHL Top 10 after winning all three of their games this week, defeating Penticton twice (6-3, 4-3) and Portland (8-5) on Sunday. It has been a historic season for the Silvertips. With three games remaining, they rank 13th for the best record in WHL history and are tied for 22nd in CHL history. 2025 CHL and WHL Rookie of the Year Landon DuPont recorded an eight-point week (1G-7A). Following his performance last week, DuPont now sits in the top five among WHL defencemen in points, in just his second year in the league.High-scoring defencemen were the story this week for Everett. Tarin Smith posted a five-point week (4G-1A) and has now set new career highs in both assists and points with 69 (16G-53A), while tying his career best in goals with 16. With three games left in the season, Everett has already set a new franchise record for wins and is looking to cement itself in the history books as one of the best teams in CHL history.

2. Moncton Wildcats (QMJHL): The Moncton Wildcats (48-10-2-2) sit atop the QMJHL standings as the only team in the league—and just the fifth in the CHL—to reach the 100-point mark this season. They picked up wins over Cape Breton (4-2) and swept Newfoundland with back-to-back victories (3-2 OT, 4-3). Utah Mammoth prospect Gabe Smith recorded six points (4G-2A) over the week, including both game-winning goals against Newfoundland. Smith has taken a significant step forward since being drafted in 2024, nearly doubling his production from last season with 74 points (33G-41A) in 58 games. Rookie defenceman Tommy Bleyl continues to make history in his exceptional first season, adding three points (1G-2A) this week. With an assist on Sunday, Bleyl broke the QMJHL rookie defenceman scoring record with his 78th point, surpassing the mark set by Gaston Therrien in 1977–78. He now sits at 79 points in 61 games, just three points back of first in rookie scoring, while leading all QMJHL rookies in assists. With only a back-to-back series against Charlottetown remaining, Moncton has the opportunity to secure first place in the QMJHL, lock up home-ice advantage, and push toward another Memorial Cup appearance.

3. Chicoutimi Saguenéens (QMJHL): The Chicoutimi Saguenéens (47-10-3-2) went two-for-three this week, earning wins over Shawinigan (4-0) and Rimouski (9-3), but suffered a tough loss to Sherbrooke (6-3). Chicoutimi sits just one point behind first place in the QMJHL and is looking to finish the season with home-ice advantage throughout the playoffs. QMJHL veteran Mavrick Lachance recorded a six-point week (3G-3A), highlighted by a hat trick against Sherbrooke. Since being acquired from Sherbrooke, Lachance has posted 30 points (13G-17A) in 30 games with his new team. Nashville Predators prospect Alex Huang tallied six assists over the three games. He is enjoying the best season of his career, with 67 points (9G-58A) in 60 games. With a goal against Rimouski, Maxim Massé reached the 50-goal mark, becoming the first Saguenéens player to do so since Francis Paré in the 2007–08 season. As the Saguenéens head into their final games of the season, each matchup will be crucial in securing first place and home-ice advantage in the QMJHL playoffs.

4. Prince Albert Raiders (WHL): The Prince Albert Raiders (49-10-5-1) picked up an important four points this week, keeping them firmly in the tight race for first place in the WHL’s Eastern Conference. The Raiders dominated Moose Jaw with an 11-0 victory and followed it up with a hard-fought 2-1 shootout win over Regina. Rookie Ben Harvey had a standout performance, recording a six-point night (3G-3A) in the win over Moose Jaw. In his first full WHL season, Harvey has posted a solid 25 points (12G-13A) in 42 games. Vancouver Canucks prospect Braeden Cootes contributed five points (1G-4A) on the week, including the shootout winner against Regina. Cootes has been remarkably consistent this season, producing 58 points (22G-36A) in 43 games. A bit of franchise history was also made, as defenceman Daxon Rudolph tied Josh Morrissey record for most goals by a defenceman with 28. As the regular season winds down, the Raiders are set to finish either first or second in the conference and will battle Medicine Hat for the top spot.

5. Medicine Hat Tigers (WHL): The Medicine Hat Tigers (48-10-5-3) went a perfect 3-for-3 this week, earning a win over Regina (6-0) and sweeping a home-and-home set with Lethbridge (6-3, 6-5 OT). Medicine Hat’s high-powered offence continues to fuel its success, as the club has reached 104 points and sits tied for second in the CHL standings. Several players have been key to that production, led by 2026 NHL Draft prospect Markus Ruck. Ruck became the first player in the CHL to surpass the 100-point mark this season and now has 102 points (20G-82A) in 66 games. He added eight points (1G-7A) in three games this week, further showcasing his elite playmaking ability. On the blue line, Jonas Woo has broken Cliff Lane’s franchise record for most points by a defenceman with 84, while Bryce Pickford has matched the previous mark of 82, originally set by Lane in 1975-76.

6. Kitchener Rangers (OHL): The Kitchener Rangers (46-13-4-2) have been the hottest team in the OHL, posting a 9-1-0-0 record over their last 10 games. With wins over Owen Sound (3-2) and Guelph (4-1) this week, the Rangers continue to build strong momentum heading into the playoffs and look poised for a deep run. Tampa Bay Lightning prospect Sam O’Reilly once again led the way offensively, recording three points (1G-2A) in two games. With the division already secured, Kitchener now needs just one more win to clinch first place in the Western Conference and lock up home-ice advantage throughout the playoffs. Veteran leadership will play a key role down the stretch, and overager Jack Pridham continues to deliver. He added three points (1G-2A) this week and now sits at 87 points (43G-44A) in 63 games this season.

7. Brantford Bulldogs (OHL): The Brantford Bulldogs (46-9-8-2) collected five of a possible six points this week, dropping a tight overtime decision to North Bay (3-2 OT) before responding with dominant wins over Sudbury (4-0) and Sault Ste. Marie (3-0). 2026 NHL Draft prospect Cooper Dennis led the offensive charge with a four-point week (2G-2A). Dennis has been outstanding all season, totaling 74 points (34G-40A) in 65 games, ranking 16th in OHL scoring and serving as a key piece of Brantford’s high-powered offence. Captain Jake O’Brien continues to be one of the team’s most reliable contributors, matching Dennis with four points (1G-3A) this week. As the playoffs approach, his consistency will be crucial. Rookie Caleb Malhotra made Bulldogs history with his 52nd assists of the season, he is the new franchise assist leader for rookie skaters. Brantford sits atop the OHL standings as the only team to surpass the 100-point mark and holds a five-point lead over Barrie with just three games remaining.

8. Barrie Colts (OHL): The Barrie Colts (45-13-3-4) faced a challenging week, with two of their three games requiring overtime. They fell to Ottawa (3-2 OT) but rebounded with strong wins over Sudbury (5-2) and Oshawa (6-5 OT). Despite the demanding schedule, Barrie has remained consistent, with just one regulation loss in its last 10 games. Defenceman Kashawn Aitcheson led the way this week with six points (1G-5A) across three games. He has now surpassed the 70-point mark for the first time in his career and currently leads all OHL defencemen in scoring. Overager Brad Gardiner also had a productive week, recording five points (2G- 3A). He is enjoying a career season, posting 64 points (30G-34A) in 65 games. With three games remaining, Barrie sits five points behind Brantford for first in the Eastern Conference and will need a strong finish to secure home-ice advantage.

9. Flint Firebirds (OHL): The Flint Firebirds (43-15-4-3) were perfect this week, earning wins over Sault Ste. Marie (5-2) and Saginaw (5-1). The four points were crucial, as Flint remains locked in a tight divisional race with Windsor, which sits just one point behind. Captain Nathan Aspinall led the way offensively, recording four points (2G-2A) in the two games. Aspinall has taken a major step forward this season and now sits at 90 points (32G-58A), just four shy of doubling his previous career high. Newcomer Kevin He has provided an immediate spark for the Firebirds, adding four points (2G-2A) this week, including the game-winning goal against the Soo. His impact has strengthened Flint’s depth heading into the playoffs. If the Firebirds hope to overtake Kitchener for the conference lead, they will likely need to win their final three games, beginning with a key matchup in Kitchener.

10. Penticton Vees (WHL): The Penticton Vees (41-14-6-4) had a challenging week, collecting two of a possible six points. They dropped overtime decisions to Prince George (4-3 OT) and Everett (4-3 OT), along with a regulation loss to Everett (6-3). Despite the results, several players continued to produce offensively. Seattle Kraken prospect Ryden Evers added three goals this week, bringing his season totals to 73 points (34G-39A) in 65 games in his first WHL season. WHL rookie Jacob Kvasnicka also continued his outstanding campaign, recording three assists to reach 83 points (35G-48A). He now sits third in WHL rookie scoring and is just four goals away from the league lead among rookies. As the regular season winds down, Penticton will face the Memorial Cup host Kelowna Rockets in a two-game set, a potential preview of a postseason matchup.
