Red Wings offence explodes in win over NOHA
The Toronto Red Wings offence came alive as they captured their first win of the OHL Cup in a 5-2 victory against team NOHA.
Tyler Hinde (2) had a game high two goals, Matthew Hong (2), Cade Campbell (1), and Markus Harper all also found the back of the net for Red Wings in their final game of the event. While Theo Bourdon-Lemoyne (1) and Owen Smith (2) lit the lamp for NOHA in the game.
“I think losing those first two games and just knowing it’s the end of our season. We wanted to come back stronger and end on a good note, we’re happy we could do that,” said Hinde speaking proudly about his teams performance.
While they are not moving on, Hinde talked about what it meant to compete and get a win at the OHL Cup, “It’s pretty amazing. It’s too bad we couldn’t get it done earlier, but it feels good to compete here and finish it off with a win.”
Caiden Clair led the Red Wings in scoring with two goals and two assists for four points in the tournament as the Red Wings finish with a record of 1-2-1. NOHA will finish up this evening as they face the Halton Hurricanes at 7:15pm.
