Toronto Clinches Shanahan Division in battle of the Titans
In a battle of of the Titans at the 2025 OHL Cup, the Toronto Titans continued their dominant run with a 4–1 victory over the Ottawa Valley Titans, extending their unbeaten streak in the tournament.
Toronto struck first in the opening period, as Michael Tang (3) netted his third goal of the tournament to give his team an early edge. The second period remained tightly contested until Ty Robar (3) doubled the lead, also scoring his third of the tournament to put Toronto up 2–0.
In the third, Toronto’s depth took over. Max Delisle (3) and Jeremy Freeman (4) found the back of the net, extending the lead to 4–0. Ottawa Valley avoided the shutout late in the period when Cameron Sheppard (2) scored to get them on the board.
With the win, the Toronto Titans (4-0-0) finish the round-robin undefeated, securing the Shanahan Division title. Tang (1G, 1A) credited the team’s complete-game approach: “We’ve focused on playing solid at both ends of the ice. It’s all about hard work. If we keep pushing, we believe we can win every game.”
The Ottawa Valley Titans (2-1-0) will close out their round-robin schedule against the Ajax-Pickering Raiders (1-2-0) tonight at 7 p.m. in a crucial matchup that will determine their playoff path.
