Kelly’s hat trick helps Senators rebound with lopsided victory
Caden Kelly (3) scored a hat trick as the Mississauga Senators rebounded from a 5-3 loss to the Toronto Jr. Canadiens, pouring it on to defeat the Hamilton Jr. Bulldogs 11-4.
Mississauga scored twice in the opening minute of the game and led by five heading into the third period. A multi-player effort, the Senators 11 goals came on 45 shots as Owen van De ven (2), Riley Patterson (1), William Moore (1), Gabriel Frasca (2) , Quinten Lisle (1) and Lucas Rodriguez (1) each lit the lamp, while Michael Misa (2) scored a pair on top of Kelly’s three.
“It feels good to get the hat trick, we played a hard, fast-paced, physical game and got the win as a team. I’m looking forward to working hard and winning another one tomorrow,” said Kelly.
Kelly earned Player of the Game for the Senators, while Jake Peters (2) earned the honours for Hamilton, scoring twice.
Mississauga is back in action tomorrow against TPH at 1:45pm. Hamilton takes on the Jr. Canadiens at 5:15pm.
