OHL 20 in 20 Futures Watch: North Bay Battalion
The North Bay Battalion will be battle-ready for the start of the 2017-18 campaign having already received commitments from their top three 2017 OHL Priority Selection picks.
Joining the Boys in Green up front will be third overall pick Brandon Coe of the Toronto Nationals. The 6’3” power forward was the first of three Troops’ picks inside the top-45 followed by defenceman Simon Rose (35th overall) of the Pembroke Lumber Kings and forward Kurtis Evans (43rd overall) of the Central Ontario Wolves. Coe committed to the club in early May with Rose and Evans signing following the club’s Orientation Camp.
Coe, Evans, and fourth round pick Payton Vescio will represent the Battalion at Hockey Canada’s National Men’s Summer Under-17 Selection Camp in Calgary on July 22nd.
