#NHLDraft Prospect Profile: Graeme Clarke
A crafty forward with a penchant for scoring highlight reel goals, former sixth overall OHL Priority Selection choice Graeme Clarke helped the Ottawa 67’s win an Eastern Conference title this past season.
The 18-year-old Ottawa product scored 23 goals and put up 34 points during the regular season before tacking on 14 points (7-7–14) in 18 playoff contests. He won a gold medal with Team Canada last summer’s Hlinka Gretzky Cup and also set up the game winning goal for Team Orr at the 2019 Sherwin-Williams CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game in Red Deer, AB.
NHL Central Scouting describes Clarke as a “hard-working right winger who makes deceptive plays and controls the puck like a centreman. He’s a tenacious checker who doesn’t let up in puck battles and is ultra quick in changing gears to separate himself from opponents.”
Clarke enters the 2019 NHL Draft as the 45th ranked North American skater on NHL Central Scouting’s Final Draft Rankings.
