Cameron Lowe commits to Otters
Erie, Pennsylvania – Erie Otters Vice President of Operations and General Manager Dave Brown announced today that 2020 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection seventh round pick, Cameron Lowe, has committed to the team and completed an OHL Standard Player Agreement.
“Cameron plays a very mature game and exhibits on ice character traits that our organization covets,” said Brown. “His 200-foot game and his determination to look after this team’s best interests are something that you appreciate, and we are thankful to have him as part of our organization. We look forward to his future as an Otter.”
“This is truly unreal,” said Lowe. “I’m honored to be given such opportunity to be a part of such an amazing organization. I am looking forwarding to play in front of such a great fan base and meeting my new teammates and I look forward to learning from the coaching staff.”
Lowe, a 6’ 0”, 156-pound center, was selected 128th overall by the Erie Otters in the seventh round of the OHL Priority Selection held on April 4, 2020. The Niagara Falls, Ontario native appeared in 30 games with the Southern Tier Admirals during the 2019-2020 season where he scored 12 goals and 13 assists.
“Cameron is an incredibly smart player, which combined with his remarkable work ethic allows him to contribute in all game situations,” Co-Director of Scouting, Mike Battah said. “While impressive on the defensive side of the puck, he also possesses the skating and puck skills to allow him to contribute offensively. Cameron is a true “200-foot” player, who takes an honest approach to the game and plays it the right way every night.”
