Bulls auctioning off game-worn jerseys in support of local charities

Belleville, ON – Belleville Sports and Entertainment, the owner of the Belleville Bulls brand will be auctioning two complete sets of game worn jerseys from the team’s final OHL season beginning Thursday, May 7. The auction will be conducted on the Canadian Hockey League auction site. These jersey sets, both the traditional yellow and the traditional black sets, were the primary game worn jerseys for the team’s final season in Belleville.
On March 12, 2015 the team announced that the franchise had been sold and would conclude its 34 year history of OHL hockey in Belleville with this season’s end. The final regular season home game was victory vs. the Sudbury Wolves on Saturday, March 21. The final game ever played by the Belleville Bulls was a playoff game Thursday, April 2 vs. the Barrie Colts with the team playing in this set of black traditional jerseys.
On March 30, 2015 the ownership group announced that the Belleville Bulls brand and trademark is being be held in trust for use by the Belleville Minor Hockey Association and an option for new owners should a potential future OHL renewal happen in Belleville. The team also announced that $5.00 from the sale of each playoff ticket is being donated to the local Bulls charitable arm and will be use to support local minor hockey in Belleville.
This special jersey auction builds on these steps towards the Bulls positive legacy and history in the community. The net proceeds of this jersey auction, in their entirety, will be turned over to the Bulls charitable arm to transition and help local charities that have previously counted on their association with the Belleville Bulls as part of their fundraising. In addition to these jerseys, Belleville Sports & Entertainment have retained a final set of white Bulls’ cartoon game jerseys. These jerseys will be used by the Bulls charitable foundation for donations to various fundraising activities in the Quinte area to help organizations raise funds at charity events.
Please note the following black jerseys will be unavailable in the auction; the #14 Subban jersey was donated to the Hockey Hall of Fame at their special request. The #22 Hanley jersey was provided to a generous local donor who has supported the Bulls’ charitable foundation.
