Sarnia Sting 2 at Flint Firebirds 3 SO

Nathan Aspinall scored in the shootout, alongside a perfect 3/3 saves by Nathan Day to win it for the Firebirds.
Edmonton Oilers prospect Connor Clattenburg opened the floodgates, scoring to send the teddy-bears flying for the Firebirds’ teddy-bear toss.
Ruslan Karimov scored a pair for the Sting to send the game to overtime, and eventually a shootout.
Nick Surzycia stopped 28-of-30 for Sarnia in the loss.
Liam Beamish made his OHL debut for Sarnia, going 10-for-14 in the faceoff circle.

Saginaw Spirit 2 at Windsor Spitfires 7

The Spits went on a scoring frenzy in this one, netting six consecutive – a lead that was too powerful for the Spirit to overcome.
Ilya Protas and Liam Greentree both had three point efforts, alongside a pair of goals from Ryan Abraham.
Dimian Zhilkin and Carson Harmer both scored for the Spirit in the third period to lessen the blow.
Joey Costanzo stopped 31-of-33 for the win.
The Spitfires improve to 18-5-2-0.
