Two OHL Graduates Selected for Team Finland’s 2026 Olympic Winter Games Roster
Finland has unveiled its roster for the 2026 Olympic Winter Games in Milano Cortina, highlighted by two OHL alumni among the nation’s top selections. The team will look to secure a second consecutive gold medal after its championship run at the 2022 Beijing Olympics.
This tournament also marks the first appearance of National Hockey League (NHL) players at the Olympics in twelve years.

Defenceman:
Olli Maatta (Utah Hockey Club/London Knights)
Goaltender:
Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen (Buffalo Sabres/Sudbury Wolves)
Finland opens its Olympic schedule on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2026, facing Slovakia at 4:40 pm EST.
They continue group play on Friday, Feb. 13, against Sweden, followed by a matchup with Italy on Saturday, Feb. 14.
If they advance, qualifying games for the knockout stage begin Tuesday, Feb. 17, with quarterfinal action on Wednesday, Feb. 18. The semifinals are set for Friday, Feb. 20, with the bronze‑ and gold‑medal games taking place on Feb. 21 and 22.
