1ST STAR: PAVEL GOGOLEV (GUELPH STORM) – 1G, 2A
Guelph scoring leader Pavel Gogolev’s goal and two assists guided the Storm to a 5-1 win in Kitchener. His exceptional performance at The Aud included a beautiful no-look pass to linemate Cam Hillis to open the scoring, and a goal with less than three minutes to go to round out the Storm’s win. The third-year winger now has 34 points (13-12-34) on the season.
2ND STAR: NICO DAWS (GUELPH STORM) – 30 SV
Nico Daws continues to impress with a league-leading 2.33 goals-against average and .934 save percentage over 13 games. The 6-foot-4 Burlington, Ont. native stopped 30 of 31 in Tuesday night’s contest, helping the Storm take their ninth straight win. Daws, who represented Team OHL in the CIBC Canada Russia Series, improves to 9-1-1-2 on the year.
3RD STAR: KEEGAN STEVENSON (GUELPH STORM) 1G
Keegan Stevenson’s redirect at the top of the crease put the Storm up 4-1 with less than five minutes to go. The third-year Storm winger earned his ninth goal and 15th point of the year, extending his current point streak to four games. The Sault Ste. Marie, Ont. native hoisted the Robertson Cup with the Storm last spring.
