KARI PIIROINEN (WINDSOR SPITFIRES):
Finnish netminder Kari Piiroinen earned his first career OHL shutout on Friday, blanking the Kitchener Rangers 3-0 on the road. Piiroinen turned aside all 34 shots he faced behind goals from Curtis Douglas, Cody Morgan and Tyler Angle. The 17-year-old improves to 3-4 on the season with a 3.01 goals-against average and .912 save percentage. He was Windsor’s first round (30th overall) pick in the 2018 CHL Import Draft. He is eligible for the 2019 NHL Draft.
