IceDogs sign goaltender Connor Haffner

NIAGARA, ONT. — The Niagara IceDogs are adding another prospect between the pipes, as goaltender Connor Haffner has signed an OHL Scholarship and Development Agreement with the club.

Drafted by the IceDogs in the fifth round, 95th overall, of the 2025 OHL Priority Selection, Haffner created plenty of excitement during his first season as an IceDogs prospect.

“Connor has worked at his game, and it showed throughout last season and training camp,” said IceDogs General Manager Dale DeGray.

Haffner excelled with the Burlington Cougars of the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL), splitting time in the crease with veteran goaltender Carter Vicente. In 26 games with the Cougars, Haffner posted a 14-6-5 record, along with a 2.95 goals-against average and a .917 save percentage.

“For a 16-year-old in that league to have those stats in that many starts is outstanding,” said DeGray.
