Generals acquire Taylor from Attack for pair of draft picks
The Oshawa Generals have acquired forward Caden Taylor from the Owen Sound Attack in exchange for two future OHL Priority Selection picks.
Owen Sound receives London’s fourth-round selection in 2028 along with Oshawa’s conditional 15th-round pick in 2030. The conditional selection will become Guelph’s third-round pick in 2029 should Taylor score 20 or more goals during the 2026-27 season.
Taylor, a 2007-born forward, brings three seasons of OHL experience to Oshawa after previous stops with the Sudbury Wolves, Peterborough Petes and Owen Sound Attack.
The 6-foot-2 forward has recorded 38 goals, 44 assists and 82 points over 172 career regular-season games.
Taylor joined Owen Sound from Peterborough during the 2025-26 season and went on to record 10 goals and 15 assists for 25 points in 38 games with the Attack.
“On behalf of the Owen Sound Attack organization, we would like to thank Caden for his time and effort during his tenure with the team,” said Attack President and General Manager Tyler Nother. “We wish him the best of luck in Oshawa and the remainder of his hockey career.”
The move adds another experienced forward to the Generals’ roster ahead of the 2026-27 campaign, while Owen Sound continues to add future draft capital.
Oshawa opens its regular-season home schedule on Sunday, September 20 against the North Bay Battalion at the Tribute Communities Centre.
