Futures Watch: Ottawa 67’s
As the 2025–26 OHL season approaches this September, the Ottawa 67’s are looking to build on their (24–34–4–6) record from last year. We spoke with GM James Boyd about the new faces fans should be keeping an eye on as the team prepares for the upcoming campaign.

Player Spotlights:
Brock Chitaroni – C
Selected in the first round (3rd overall) in the 2025 OHL Priority Selection, Brock Chitaroni starred for the Barrie Colts U16 AAA program during the 2024-25 season. In just 31 regular-season games he recorded 59 points (29-30–59) and added 18 points in eight postseason games. The team also competed at the 2025 OHL Cup where Chitaroni added a goal and an assist. He joins the OHL ranks following in the footsteps of his older brother, Sudbury Wolves’ forward Hudson Chitaroni.

Jack Johnson – RD
Selected in the second round (32nd overall) in the 2025 OHL Priority selection, Jack Johnson played for the Toronto Marlboros U16 AAA program this past season, where he recorded 21 points (4-17–21). At this year’s OHL Cup, he was a point-per-game player, scoring one goal and three assists in four games played.
“Jack is a responsible defender with good size/skill and is someone who made a solid impression at our Development Camp in Ottawa last spring. He’s been working hard throughout the offseason.”
Ondrej Ruml – LD
Selected in the first round (8th overall) in the 2025 CHL Import Draft, Ondrej Ruml suited up for the HC Dynamo Pardubice U17 program this past season, leading the team in scoring 40 points (9-31–40) in 41 regular-season games. He added a strong playoff performance where he tallied 10 points (1-9–10) in seven games. A native of Valtice, he has represented the Czech Republic in the 2024-25 World U17 Championship.
“Ondrej is an exciting, skilled defender who sees the ice well, excels in transition and competes hard in all three zones. He recently captained Czechia’s U17 and U18 Hinka Gretzky teams internationally. His addition immediately improves the depth and versatility of our defence corps.”
Jasper Kuhta – C
Selected in the second round (72nd overall) in the 2025 CHL Import Draft, Jasper Kuhta spent the 2024–25 season with the HIFK Helsinki U20 program, where he recorded 43 points (18-25–43) over 38 regular season games. He was a point-per-game player in the post-season where he tallied two goals in as many games.
“Jasper is a big and strong 19-year-old forward who has already played pro and international for Finland. His experience and competitiveness will be sure to ease his transition to the North American game in the OHL.”
