2025 Training Camps set to open across the league
As August comes to a close, the OHL preseason is fast approaching!
Teams are gearing up this week with training camps kicking off as early as this weekend. Here’s a brief overview of what to expect across the OHL. Additional details, including rosters, will be shared as they become available.
Barrie Colts:
The Barrie Colts will open training camp on Tuesday, August 26, at the Sadlon Arena, with fitness testing before shifting into intrasquad games on Wednesday, August 27 and Thursday, August 28. The week wraps up with the annual Blue vs. White scrimmage on Thursday at 6:00 p.m., with free admission and hot dogs for all attendees.

Brampton Steelheads:
The Brampton Steelheads will open training camp at the CAA Centre from Monday, August 25, through Thursday, August 28. Fans are invited to attend and watch the Blue vs. White scrimmages throughout the week.
Brantford Bulldogs:
The Brantford Bulldogs will open training at the Civic Center from Monday, August 25, through Thursday, August 28. Fans are invited to attend the Black vs. Gold game on the 28th at 11am, free of charge.

Erie Otters:
The Erie Otters will open training camp on Saturday, August 23, with intrasquad scrimmages at Erie Insurance Arena that afternoon. Camp continues with additional public scrimmages and practices from Sunday, August 24, through Tuesday, August 26.

Flint Firebirds:
The Flint Firebirds will host training camp on Monday, August 25 and Tuesday, August 27, at Crystal Fieldhouse Ice Arena. Fans are invited to attend, with six intrasquad games open to the public across the two days.

Guelph Storm:
The Guelph Storm will open training camp at the Sleeman Centre on Monday, August 25, with on-ice sessions open to the public that afternoon through Thursday, August 28.

Kingston Frontenacs:
The Kingston Frontenacs will hold training camp at Slush Puppie Place from Tuesday, August 26, through Friday, August 29. While Tuesday’s scrimmages are closed to the public, fans are invited to attend intrasquad games from Wednesday to Friday.

Kitchener Rangers:
The Kitchener Rangers will hold training camp at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium on Monday, August 26, and Tuesday, August 27. One on-ice scrimmage will be open to the public each day.

London Knights:
The 2025 Memorial Cup champions will hold training camp at Canada Life Place from Monday, August 25, to Wednesday, August 27. Scrimmages on Monday and Tuesday are closed to the public, but fans are invited to attend Wednesday’s Green and Gold Game at 4 p.m., with free admission.

Niagara IceDogs:
The IceDogs will host their 2025 Training Camp at the Meridian Centre on Tuesday, August 26 and Wednesday, August 27. Fans are welcome to attend select portions of camp, including Tuesday’s on-ice sessions and inter-squad scrimmages on both days.

North Bay Battalion:
The North Bay Battalion will hold training camp from Monday, August 25, through Thursday, August 28, at the Boart Longyear Memorial Gardens arena. All practices and scrimmages are free to attend and open to the public. Camp will wrap up on Thursday with a season ticket holder signing at 12:30 p.m.

Oshawa Generals:
The Oshawa Generals will hold training camp at the Tribute Communities Centre from Monday, August 25, to Thursday, August 28. All on-ice scrimmages are open to the public and free to attend.

Ottawa 67’s:
Ottawa 67’s players will report on Tuesday, August 26, for medical and fitness testing. On-ice activities begin Wednesday, August 27, featuring two days of intrasquad games and 3-on-3 tournament play. These sessions will be open to media and fans, free of charge.
Owen Sound Attack:
The Owen Sound Attack open camp on Monday, August 25, at the Shallow Lake and District Community Centre in Georgian Bluffs for a five-day program. The first two days will feature rookie practices and scrimmages before the main camp begins on Wednesday, August 27, concluding with a final scrimmage on Friday, August 29, at 3:00 p.m.

Peterborough Petes:
The Peterborough Petes will open training camp on Tuesday, August 26, with off-ice training before wrapping up with the annual Maroon vs. White Game on Friday, August 29, at the Peterborough Memorial Centre. While Tuesday’s activities are closed to the public, all remaining scrimmages are free to attend.
Saginaw Spirit:
The Saginaw Spirit will hold training camp from Monday, August 25, to Wednesday, August 27, at the Dow Event Center. All scrimmages, practices, and on-ice sessions are open and free to the public.

Sarnia Sting:
The Sarnia Sting opens camp on Monday, August 25. Fans are welcome to attend on-ice activities free of charge, with scrimmages beginning Tuesday, August 26, at 9:00 a.m. Camp concludes with the annual Black vs. White Game in support of the United Way of Sarnia-Lambton on Saturday, August 31, at 6:00 p.m.

Soo Greyhounds:
The Greyhounds will hold training camp from Wednesday, August 27, to Friday, August 29, at the GFL Memorial Gardens. All scrimmages, practices, and on-ice sessions are free to the public, with the exception of the Luke Williams Memorial Red & White Game on Friday, August 29, at 7:07 p.m. Tickets for that game are $5.
Sudbury Wolves:
The Wolves will open training camp on Monday, August 25, running through Friday, August 29, at the Sudbury Community Arena. All scrimmages, practices, and on-ice sessions are open and free to the public, including the annual Blue vs. White Game on Friday at 10:00 a.m.

The Spitfires will hold training camp from Thursday, August 28, to Saturday, August 30, at the WFCU Centre.
