Finnish forward Lauri Sinivuori signs with Generals

Oshawa, Ont. – The Oshawa Generals would like to announce that the 51st pick of the 2024 CHL Import Draft selection, Lauri Sinivuori, has signed an OHL scholarship and development agreement.

“I’m happy to join the Generals and excited to play with the team. I can’t wait to get started,” says Sinovuori.

The 6-foot forward comes to Oshawa from Mikkeli, Finland and wrapped up his last season playing for the HIFK Helsinki U20 team. In 34 games, Sinivuori earned 25 points and in a 9-game playoff run, he collected 13.

Sinivuori participated in the 2022 World U17 Challenge, the 2023 Hlinka Gretzky Cup, as well as the 2024 U18 World Championship. His vast national experience and offensive acument make him a great addition to the Oshawa Generals.

“It’s great to have Lauri committed to the Gens for next season,” said Generals Vice President and General Manager Roger Hunt. “He plays hard and is tough to play against.”

Sinivuori will be wearing number 42.
