The idea for the series came from Marketing and Content Manager Storm Harding and is just one of a few clever ideas brought forth by the organization over the course of the last few months. The club has also arranged for streamed video game challenges between players as part of their “Live @ Home” content and have been providing further opportunities for interaction with their Bulldogs Live productions that feature players answering fan-driven questions.

When it comes to keeping the players engaged in these uncertain times, the Quarantine Games has been a big hit, says Communications Coordinator Reed Duthie.
“For the players, obviously the Quarantine Olympics is a big one,” Duthie said. “We’re constantly innovating to try and find new and fun ways to interact with the players and fans.”

So, how do the Quarantine Games work? It’s simple: players are awarded a score based on their performance in a video voiced by Duthie, who is also the team’s Play-by-Play Announcer. Fans are then welcome to add points to their overall scores by rating their performances on a scale of 1 to 10.
