Attack acquire goaltender Corovic from Bulldogs
The Owen Sound Attack have acquired 2008-born goaltender Maksim Corovic from the Brantford Bulldogs in exchange for three selections in the 2028 OHL Priority Selection.
Brantford receives Sarnia’s third-round pick, London’s fourth-round pick and Oshawa’s fifth-round pick in 2028 as the Bulldogs continue to replenish their draft capital.
Corovic joins Owen Sound following a standout 2025-26 season with the OJHL’s Collingwood Blues, where he posted a 14-3-2 record with a 1.66 goals-against average and .942 save percentage across 20 appearances.
His performance earned him OJHL Top Goaltender and Top Prospect honours while also landing him on the league’s Top Prospect First Team All-Star squad. Corovic represented Team Canada East at the Junior A World Challenge and also participated in the OJHL’s Zach Hyman Prospect Series.
“Adding Maksim is an important move for our organization and, specifically, for our current depth and for the future of our goaltending pipeline,” said Attack President and General Manager Tyler Nother. “Maksim is attending NHL camp with Seattle and fits in perfectly with what we are building in Owen Sound.
“He has all the tools to be an impactful goaltender in our league now and for the next few seasons. We are excited to welcome Maksim and the Corovic family to the Owen Sound Attack organization.”
A native of Stoney Creek, ON, Corovic was selected by Brantford in the fifth round of the 2024 OHL Priority Selection after playing with the Niagara North Stars U16 AAA program. He spent the following season at Cushing Academy, helping the program capture its first NEPSAC Elite Eight championship while posting a .912 save percentage in 28 games.
Corovic made two regular-season appearances with Brantford in 2025-26 before seeing action in three preseason contests with the Bulldogs ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.
“We’d like to thank Maks Corovic for his contributions to the Bulldogs and wish him nothing but success in Owen Sound,” said Bulldogs President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Spencer Hyman. “Acquiring third-, fourth- and fifth-round picks helps us rebuild our draft cupboard while providing valuable asset options that could be used to add players this season.”
Corovic is currently attending camp with the NHL’s Seattle Kraken and will join the Attack following his reassignment.
