67’s Mews raises $4,048 for the University of Ottawa Heart Institute Foundation throughout 2023-24 season
Ottawa 67’s defenceman Henry Mews raised funds for a worthy cause throughout the 2023-24 season, as the hometown product teamed up to donate $4,048 in support of the University of Ottawa Heart Institute Foundation.
As the Heart Institute’s doctors are responsible for “assisting” patients on a daily basis, 67’s Colour Analyst and Foundation Board Member Colin Zappia donated $11 to the Foundation for every assist that number 11 recorded this season. This donation was matched by the Mews family, Randy Robitaille, Amanda Zurkowski, Dave Ross, the Myers Automotive Group, Tony Greco, Armando Gianetti, Lindsay Firestone (Director – Community Engagement and Development), as well as Lianne Laing (President) for a total of $88/assist.
Through his excellent play and his 46 assists for the 67’s this season, the funds raised ensure that patients in Ottawa and all across the country are able to continue receiving world class care at the Heart Institute.
