Rangers graduate Lucas Pfeil commits to McGill
McGill University Athletics announced via Twitter (@McGillAthletics) on Sunday that Kitchener Rangers graduate Lucas Pfeil has committed to the men’s hockey program for the 2021-22 season.
Pfeil, 21, of Owen Sound, Ont., played in 47 games over parts of three seasons for the Rangers from 2016-20, going 13-18-2-1 with a 4.00 goals-against average and .871 save percentage. He appeared in 19 games during the 2019-20 season and was initially a sixth round pick by the Rangers in the 2016 OHL Priority Selection.
Pfeil joins a McGill program that recently named David Urquhart as head coach. He and other 2021-22 recruit Eric Uba (Guelph Storm) join other OHL graduates in the lineup including goaltender Emanuel Vella (Flint Firebirds) and blueliner Jacob Golden (Erie Otters).
