Nicholson represents OHL in Saskatoon

Saskatoon, SK – The Canadian Hockey League announced the officiating staff for the 2013 MasterCard Memorial Cup in Saskatoon, SK.

Four referees including two from the Western Hockey League, one from the Ontario Hockey League, and one from the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League have all been assigned for the tournament.  A crew of five linesmen from the WHL have also been selected for the event.

WHL referees in the 2013 MasterCard Memorial Cup include Saskatoon native Reagan Vetter, along with Regina native Nathan Wieler.  Both are making their MasterCard Memorial Cup debut along with QMJHL representative Jean-Philippe Sylvain of Magog, QC.  Kendrick Nicholson of Milverton, ON, is representing the OHL and participated in the 2008 MasterCard Memorial Cup in Kitchener as a linesman.

All five WHL linesmen are skating in their first MasterCard Memorial Cup including Ron Dietterle of Aldergrove, BC, Ryan Gibbons of Vancouver, BC, Bevan Mills of Langley, BC, Scott Sharun of Airdrie, AB, and Nathan Van Oosten of Burnaby, BC.

All games of the 2013 MasterCard Memorial Cup are broadcast live on Sportsnet and TVA Sports.
