Injury Bug Bites Wolves
The Sudbury Wolves will travel to London and Sarnia this weekend to take on two of the top teams in the Western Conference and will likely be without the services of a number of key players due to injuries. Expected to miss action on the road this weekend are:
GOALTENDERS – JOHAN MATTSSON and JOEL VIENNEAU. Both goaltenders are expected to miss the next 7 to 10 days with undisclosed injuries.
DEFENCEMEN – CHARLIE DODERO and JEFF CORBETT. Both defencemen are listed as day-to-day.
FORWARDS – JOSH LEIVO is also listed as day-to-day.
Also missing from the line-up is overage candidate JOSH MCFADDEN who has received an invitation to play in some exhibition games for the HAMILTON BULLDOGS of the AHL. In order to compensate for the players missing in action, the Wolves are expected to call-up goaltender ALEX LAINO of the Sudbury Cubs Jr. A team. Rookie defenceman TYLER PRONG is also expected to see some action this weekend for the Wolves.
The Wolves travel to London on Friday night to face MAX DOMI and the LONDON KNIGHTS before completing the trip in Sarnia on Saturday against superstar NAIL YAKUPOV and the SARNIA STING.
Both games can be heard on KFM 95.5 with STEW KERNAN calling the play-by-play!
