Wolves Host Petes Friday
The Sudbury Wolves will host the Peterborough Petes this Friday night at the Sudbury Arena. Doors open at 6pm in anticipation for puck drop at 7:00pm. The young Wolves will be looking for a good start upfront with the likes of Dmitry Sokolov, David Levin and the Pilon twins to name a few of the exciting Wolves to watch. On defense, the captain, Kyle Capobianco and over-agers Aiden Jaimeson and Patrick Sanvido will form a big part of the veteran wall as they look to shut down the Petes.
The Petes are led upfront by Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Nikita Korostelev who leads the Petes with 22 goals and 26 assists for 48 points in 39 games. Also upfront is offensive threat Logan DeNoble who leads the Petes in goals with 27. This ranks him 6th among OHL leaders and top in the league with powerplay goals with 12. On defence, the Petes are led by Matthew Timms who leads all Petes’ defenceman with 43 points in 44 games.
Friday’s game is sponsored by The Home Depot! The first 1000 fans in attendance Friday will receive The Home Depot toques. Fans are encouraged to visit The Home Depot booth in the lower lobby for the chance to participate in the on-ice promotion in the first intermission.
