Wolves Add Overage Goalie Kevyn Brassard
(Greater Sudbury, ON) The Sudbury Wolves are pleased to announce that they have added 6’4”, 229lbs overage goaltender Kevyn Brassard to their roster ahead of tonight’s game. The Wolves claimed Brassard off inner-league waivers from the QMJHL.
“We would like to welcome Kevyn and his family to the Sudbury Wolves,” said Sudbury Wolves Vice-President & General Manager Rob Papineau. “He has had a very strong first half of the season in Drummondville taking over the net when the team was dealing with an injury to one of their goalies. He is a big goalie that plays a calm, steady and competitive game. He has been very stable for his team this year.”
Brassard joins the Wolves from the Drummondville Voltigeurs of the QMJHL where he had a great first half of the season. In 15 games, he posted a 3.17 Goal Against Average and a 0.903 Save Percentage. With the OA limitations and the other goalies in Drummondville, he became available.
Brassard is expected to join the Wolves tonight on the road as they head to Hamilton to face the Bulldogs at 7:00pm, before closing out the weekend Sunday afternoon in Mississauga at 2:00pm. Fans can follow the Wolves on the road by tuning into the road games with the live play-by-play on CKLU 96.7 and mixlr.com/sudburywolves. The Wolves will return to action at home Wednesday evening when they host the North Bay Battalion at 7:05pm. This game is sponsored by Bruce Power.
