Dalibor Dvorský commits to the Pack
(Greater Sudbury, ON) – The Sudbury Wolves are pleased to announce that Dalibor Dvorský, the 10th overall selection by the St. Louis Blues in the 2023 NHL draft has committed to the Sudbury Wolves Hockey Club. Dvorsky, known for his exceptional two-way play and outstanding hockey I.Q., brings a wealth of talent and experience to the team.
Dvorský began the 2023-24 season with IK Oskarshamn in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) where he played in 10 games this season.
“Dalibor is a world-class player whom we are very excited to add to our hockey club. He is a first-class young man, and we look forward to helping him further develop as the star player that went 10th overall in the NHL Draft in June,” said Sudbury Wolves VP & General Manager, Rob Papineau. “He is very excited to get to Sudbury and join the team. Our fans will be very fortunate and excited to watch Dalibor this season.”
Dvorský has also achieved international success, winning a gold medal with Team Slovakia at the 2022 World U18 Division IA Championships. He has also represented Slovakia in the past two IIHF World Junior Championships. Dalibor holds the record for being the youngest player to score a goal in the Slovak men’s league.
“I am very excited to be joining Sudbury. I can’t wait to meet all of my new teammates and coaches and Wolves fans, and to start my new hockey chapter in North America,” said Dvorský on committing to the Wolves.
The Wolves will return to action with a double header at home tonight, defending the Den against the Mississauga Steelheads, and again on Friday against the Flint Firebirds. Game time is 7:05 pm.
